Spanish Courses

Designed for UPM students whose mother tongue is not Spanish. Most of the students are European who come from the Erasmus Program, but the courses are also available for non-european language students. 

The program offers a series of courses in different levels and formats throughout the academic year.

The SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSES are designed for non-Spanish speaking exchange students, professors or researchers from UPM or other International Students who want to gain a grounding in Spanish Language. Other university students, professors or adults who are not part of the UPM community are welcome to enroll.

Los cursos de español de conversación de nivel intermedio están dirigidos a aquellos alumnos que desean profundizar sus destrezas de comprensión y produccion orales en una clase activa y dinámica. La práctica de la destreza oral es una de las que más dificultades supone para los estudiantes de idiomas. Al mismo tiempo, es una de las más importantes para poder comunicarnos de manera efectiva en una lengua.

Curso de preparación al DELE. Nivel B2

The aim of this course is to acquire the skills and strategies necessary to pass the DELE B2 exam. The course is based on sample DELE B2 exam tasks, exercises to pass these tasks and practical tips for the exam. These are courses created by the UPM Language Centre. They are online courses with self-study activities to practice the different skills of the DELE exam. They also offer advice, tools and bibliography recommendations to help you prepare for the exam successfully.

The INTENSIVE SPANISH COURSES are designed for international students coming to Madrid to start or continue their studies at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). It is best suited for those who intend to spend a term or a year studying at a Spanish University and require a working and communicative knowledge of the spanish language. It is a 2-week-long course that includes a wide range of cultural activities across Madrid, as well as an intensive scheme in the classroom.

The Modular Spanish Language and Culture Courses are designed for international students to gain a grounding in Spanish language and culture. The program consists of two-week modules combining language and culture. You can choose A1.1 or A1.2 level. The course takes place at Campus Ciudad Universitaria, Madrid. You can register for Module 1, Module 2 or both.

The programme is a 4-week course (120 hours, 8 ECTS) covering Spanish language and cultural components run by CENTRO DE LENGUAS-UPM, combining language and culture face to face lessons with outdoor cultural activities.
